How to Apply to the PALS/ESL Program
at Rutgers University–Newark

ALL students need to submit the following:

1. ESL application form

2. Minimum Academic Requirement:

Proof of completion of High School (or GED Certificate)

3. $100 application fee (non-refundable)

Students requiring an I-20 to apply for an F-1 student visa must also submit the following items:

4. ESL Program Affidavit of Support and supporting documentation

5. Copy of passport page with student’s name and date of birth

6. $100 University SEVIS fee (non-refundable) (Total costs: $200)
