The group then made its way down to Rockefeller Center, arriving just in time to see the incredible Lord & Taylor snowflake/music display. Then, the real reason for the trip: the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, Herald Angels, and the famous Rockefeller Center ice skating rink. After a stop at McDonald’s to warm up and fill up, everyone continued on to Times Square to take in the scene at the well-known crossroads with its marvelous lights before heading back to the PATH to make their ways home. |

December 11, 2008, Professors Marisol Garcia and Jessica Wilson escorted the PALS students to New York City for the annual PALS ESL Club Holiday trip. As always, the trip began at Herald Square and Macy’s on 6th Avenue. The next stop was Bryant Park, which had a beautiful all-gold tree, the ice rink, and the holiday shopping booths. Then it started to rain, but that didn’t stop the group from walking up 6th Avenue to St. Thomas Church, and then continuing on to the famous 5th Avenue for some more lights, windows, and beautiful sights.
